B&K has installed many different types of utility construction including water and sewer lines, drainage lines, catch basins, water tower construction, and sewer lift station installation. B&K is unique because we are highly experienced in utility work which other companies shy away from, such as utility work in deep, poor soil as well as around and through obstacles. We have installed Sewer Lift Stations up to 50’ deep and utility lines up to 122” in diameter.

B&K’s ability to construct complex structures and streamline long duration projects has gained us a highly respected reputation within the industry. We have self-performed a multitude of structural concrete projects that include concrete canal bottoms, bridge construction, flatwork, airport runway work, floodwalls and hurricane protection walls, concrete box culverts, drainage structures, petro-chemical plant foundations, sewer treatment and pumping station containment structures, and other work that called for the vertical forming and pouring of concrete.

Our expertise in the pile driving industry includes installing concrete piles, timber piles, steel pipe piles, steel sheet piles, and steel H-piles. Our crews have extensive experience in driving piles of all sizes and lengths, whether they are installed vertically or battered. B&K’s background includes driving piles on pump stations, sewer treatment plants, building foundations, bulkheads, docks, box culverts, concrete canals, canal pipeline crossings, pipe racks, hurricane protection levees, and water tower foundations.

B&K Construction is highly experienced in processes of deep excavations and foundations. These deep excavations include that of drainage canals, deep concrete vaults, oxidation ponds, sewer treatment lagoons, and miscellaneous excavations for roadwork and pipeline work. In addition, B&K specializes in the installation of temporary retaining structures which consist of sheet piles, struts and walers, and a trench box.

B&K Construction Company has constructed a number of earthen levees for the Federal Government. Within these projects, we have installed millions of cubic yards of clay.

B&K’s ability extends to jacking and boring large diameter pipe under railroads, roads, etc. We are capable of installing bores from 60” diameter to 120” diameter and up to 500’ long. While native material is often inconsistent, and jacking and boring is generally hard to keep on line and grade, B&K crews excel at this task. Large diameter bores are installed on line and grade within ¾ of an inch.
